Squarespace offers a design module that is powerful enough to adjust elements such as the lock screen, logo, template and a lot of settings in the style editor. In fact, many elements of your model are customizable. If you are absolutely blocked, there is a CSS module to confuse with.

This is a live editor, but it has no drag and drop elements. That being said, the settings are intuitive enough to handle for most beginners.

Squarespace Commerce was the only way to accept payments for online transactions, but everything changed. In fact, every plan offered through Squarespace is able to have a sort of e-commerce functionality.

For example, the business plan, as listed below, still offers the possibility to sell online. You can still technically incorporate something like a PayPal button into your personal account, but there is no longer any complete e-commerce support.

The monthly fee for the business plan is lower, but the problem is that Squarespace accepts a transaction fee:

As for the regular Squarespace Commerce plans, there are no transaction costs and the functionality has improved:

Squarespace has never been known as an opportunity website builder. It’s a premium solution and costs more money than many other platforms. Most free models are of the highest quality, so I really think it’s worth the price.

Similar to Shopify models, you are getting a design for a website that is probably worth over $ 10,000 for a fraction of the cost.

Quite honestly, however, given this Shopify offers a plan at $ 9, and Bigcartel offers plans from free to $ 20 – It’s hard for Squarespace to compete. The $ 12 and $ 18 Personal and Business plans are excellent, considering that not everyone wants to pay close to $ 30 for an e-commerce store. But you’re still stuck with transaction costs in those lower floors.

They can be easily customized and responsive, so they are all optimized for mobile devices. Many have been designed with blogging, art and creativity in mind, with a nice little category created just for e-commerce.

I’m not sure how much difference it makes, but at first glance it seems Shopify ‘ s themes are clearly made to sell, while Squarespace’s themes are made for beauty. Squarespace improved its selection of themes as it used to have only about 10 total. Therefore, this 80 + brand places it there with juggernauts like Shopify and BigCommerce. And, in my personal opinion, Squarespace’s themes seem much better.

Shopify has finished with 150 now, BigCommerce has over 100, and Volusion has 120, but you have to pay extra for some of these, and especially with Volusion, some are of poor quality. At least all Squarespace models are of high quality. Right now, I’d say that Squarespace’s design is exceptional, and even with its small selection, I’d classify them over most e-commerce platforms.

Review of Squarespace: inventory

Trade squarespace supports multidimensional product variants (size, color, weight). They do not limit the number of SKUs or products, so it is not unthinkable to think of being able to manage a large shop with the platform. Inventory management is facilitated by the ability to send shipment notifications and manage refunds directly from the dashboard. There are also options for stock updates and quick printing of shipping labels.

Finally, the real-time scanning of shipments and barcodes meets to show that Squarespace seems to have graduated only with small shops.

Squarespace Commerce Review: SEO and marketing

Trade squarespace only offers some payment options, but they are among the most popular on the market. As the default payment gateway, Stripe has been integrated with Squarespace and serves as the main payment solution to choose from. However, you also have the option of using PayPal or Apple Pay. All major credit cards are accepted, regardless of the payment gateway.


Stripe is easy to set up and is very popular these days in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia.

Everything depends on your country for Stripe, but you can expect to see a transaction fee of around 2.9% plus 30 cents for each successful charge. The same goes for PayPal.

I really enjoyed building my site and online store using Squarespace. The company has always had a great reputation as a developer of blog / blog sites, so switching to e-commerce was a natural choice. Squarespace Commerce could be a good e-commerce platform for those who want to create an elegant online store with unlimited products and an ever increasing selection of marketing tools.

I’m starting to think that Squarespace is starting to compete with the big dogs BigCommerce , Shopify , or Corecommerce . Squarespace still lacks an app store, but the integrated features are quite impressive and continue to add high-profile additions to compensate for the lack of app stores.

I also think it could be a very strong platform for the people currently selling on Etsy or eBay who are trying to upgrade. Overall, it’s definitely the best option in terms of models, and it’s difficult to find a function in Shopify or BigCommerce that is missing in Squarespace.
